Spark is a short message that you can broadcast to your friends on Gspark or via email (shortly also to Twitter and Facebook) to spark discussion.

Spark message can include links, video, picture, plain text or embed code. Its easy to discuss about message in Chat-like style and forward the message.

Sparks are public messages (listed in the public messages section) unless you clicl the message as private.

Unlike microblogging, or sharing a link in a link sharing services - Gspark idea is to send the message to selected users like in email. However discussing about the message is easier than it would be using email.
